Several ceremonies took place across Hampton Roads on January 15th to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Junior and his legacy.
A ceremony and march that began at the Attucks Theatre hosted by the City of Norfolk Government brought hundreds together, including The Decker Law Firm’s Martin Thomas Jr. Many civil servants including mayor Kenny Alexander, city council members, and community members attended the event. All parties walked arm-in-arm together to Dr. King’s memorial with hope and motivation. Community members said they will continue to live the way King would be proud of, with motivation and love.
